What do you enjoy about the work you do and what is most rewarding?
As a circuit designer, it’s rewarding to understand how things work and to find ways to optimize a design or approach, always balancing the three criteria of circuit size, performance and power. The ability to work on new design/circuit elements is a fun challenge and often facilitates the creative process.
In addition, ASIC North affords an Engineer with a wonderful work/life balance opportunity. Working remotely, I have access to all my colleagues via Microsoft Teams and all the requisite tooling needed to perform my job, in addition to taking my Dog for a walk at lunchtime. Furthermore, the management team is responsive and supportive to changing employee situations, such as illness.
Finally, the ASIC North benefits package is one of the strongest in the industry. I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a combination of work challenge and a robust benefits package to consider ASIC North.
What do you do for fun outside work?
I try to maintain an active lifestyle. This consists of performing dynamic exercises in my basement gym, running on pavement and mountain trails, skiing, planting trees and gardening. In addition, I’m a lifelong lover of Music and have much fondness for my Spotify account (lol). Finally, I love Dogs as they bring me great joy.
Manager Comment:
It is a pleasure to have Jeff on the analog design staff at ASIC North. He has deep experience in the field of I/O’s and is a strong analog circuit designer. Jeff is a quintessential “team player” by embracing all assignments with a positive attitude and working productively within teams. He is always willing to learn new skills and will tackle any job sent his way. In these ways, Jeff represents the qualities that we value most at ASIC North.
